About Unseizable

· Updated

Unseizable is for people who want their children to go further than they did, and who know money alone won't get them there.

Maybe you are the first in your family with a degree, a professional job or a home of your own. Your children will start higher than you did. But you have never seen the step above you up close, so you are not sure what to show them.

Or maybe your family has already lost everything once. You emigrated, fled, or lived through a collapse that wiped out savings. You know money can vanish. You want to give your children the part that doesn't.

This site is for both.

The idea is simple. Families that stay on their feet across generations pass on something other than money. In Hungary, communism took the nobility's land and titles, and their descendants stayed ahead anyway. In Poland, families forced out of the eastern borderlands lost almost everything, and three generations later their descendants were the most educated group in the country. What they carried was knowledge and skills, the habit of investing in them, and a picture of the futures worth aiming at. None of it can be separated from the person who holds it. What can't be seized sets out the test.

The second idea follows from the first. Children don't learn this from talks. They copy what they watch: how you plan, what you want, who you spend time with, how you handle a setback. So the work starts with you. You can't pass on what you don't carry.

That is why the site has two kinds of writing. The docs collect the research: the case studies, and what is known about how children pick up habits and ambitions. The log is where I work things out in the open, mostly about the parent's side of it: fear, energy, asking for help, and small loops that get you moving. If you want the practical version first, start with generational wealth without money.

I'm kdaniel. I grew up in Poland in the 1990s, when factories closed and inflation burned through savings. The largest future I could picture was a stable job at a foreign corporation. I wrote about that ceiling and how it lifted. Today I run a family business and have spent a decade helping organisations with strategy. The idea for this project came from research I met at the Leading Edge Forum.

This is open research. The hypothesis could be wrong, and I publish what cuts against it as well as what supports it. New pieces arrive by email when there is something worth sending.
